Lamia Soghier, MD
Dr. Soghier is an Assistant Professor of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at George Washington School of Medicine and Children’s National Health System. She currently serves as the medical unit director of the CNHS Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She has particular interest in neonatal resuscitation in limited resource settings. She is a Master Trainer for the Helping Babies Breathe Initiative and has been involved in interdisciplinary trainings in low and middle income Gulf countries. Dr. Soghier champions the use of local values, local talent and local resources to improve overall systems and infrastructure. Dr. Soghier obtained her Master’s in Education from George Washington University in 2016. She completed her pediatrics residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and her Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
