Dr. Lance Chilton will lead this presentation on caring for Afghan families immigrating to the United States.
Lance Chilton MD, FAAP practiced pediatrics in New Mexico for 45 years before retiring 6 years ago. He practiced on the Navajo Reservation, in private practice and for the university, working with underserved children, many of them immigrants. He held various posts in the American Academy of Pediatrics, including chair of the Committee on Native American Child Health and the Council on Community Pediatrics. He continues teaching medical students, family medicine, and pediatric residents. In his free time, Dr. Chilton is a long-distance bicyclist.
