Building Connections

While in his third year of residency at Children’s National, travelling to the Lao Friends Hospital for Children in Luang Prabang, Laos, Dr. Mattia Chason, now an attending in hospitalist medicine, provided educational training to the local providers and oversaw the care of the inpatient population. Dr. Chason has helped to strengthen the relationship between Children’s National and the Lao Friends Hospital, and the position remains one which pediatric residents are encouraged to pursue.
