Dr. Chiquita Palha De Sousa is a former CNHS global health resident. After completing a Global Health REACH project in Lesotho, Dr. De Sousa went on to Harvard for a Global Health Service Delivery Fellowship. She will now be sitting on the Executive Committee for the Section on International Child Health (SOICH) for the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics).
While at Children’s National, she helped create the General Pediatric Nursing Curriculum. The first round of Explorations in Global Health grants, awarded by GHI, helped fund a project led by Dr. De Sousa to transform this curriculum into modules on an e-platform. This curriculum was successfully launched as a pilot program in Lesotho.
