AAP International Elective Awards Deadline

For interested residents and fellows who complete a clinical pediatric elective abroad – Each academic year the AAP designates several $1,000 awards split between two cycles (number awarded per cycle will be at the discretion of the review committee) to pediatric residents and fellowship trainees who wish to complete a clinical pediatric elective in the developing world during residency. Applicants must be a member of the AAP Section on International Child Health (SOICH) in order to apply. Awards are given solely on the basis of the application and an online recommendation form completed by the trainee’s program director or global health mentor. The International Elective Award application is due March 15, 2019. The recommendation form is due March 31, 2019.
