Spring 2020 Introduction to Global Child Health Course

Held biannually, the Global Child Health Course is geared specifically towards residents but is open and accessible for all of CNH. This course is designed with a view to improving access to healthcare internationally and advancing the quality of care in both our local and global communities. The program is organized around issues central to global health and draws on the personal experience of our providers.

At the GHI at CNH, we recognize that effective global health care must be both specialized and sustainable, micro and macro. Students in the Global Health Course are trained to recognize, diagnose, and manage illnesses and tropical diseases not seen in the US through case studies and personal expertise. However, they are also trained to see the bigger picture, examining how healthcare is delivered, policies are formed and advocated for, and resources are managed in different cultural and economic contexts.
