Meet Dr. Anspacher
Dr. Anspacher is an attending in the Pediatric Hospitalist Division at Children’s National. She has lived and volunteered in Vientiane, Laos, serving as the Pediatric Residency Coordinator for Health Frontiers. She also has experience volunteering in several countries in Latin America including Cuba, El Salvador, Bolivia and Honduras. She was responsible for creating the Introduction to Global Child Health Course and Global Health Curriculum and Pathway for the Children’s National Pediatric Residency Program. She continues to serve as a Global Health Faculty Mentor, Chair of the Pediatric Residency International Travel Grant Selection Committee and liaison to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Legislation and Advocacy Office for Global Health. She has performed research on pediatric global health education with the AAP and helped develop the Global Health Interest Group for the Association of Pediatric Program Directors. Her interests include global health education and advocacy, capacity building and immigrant health. She received her degree from the University of California – San Francisco and finished her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
