Dr. Carrie Golitko will be giving this course’s lecture on malaria with interactive case discussions.
Dr. Golitko is the Medical Director of the Global Health Initiative here at Children’s National Hospital. After completing her residency at Brown/Rhode Island Hospital she moved to sub-Saharan Africa to work for Texas Children’s Hospital Pediatric AIDS Initiative for 8 years. As a clinical mentor, she worked closely with the Ministry of Health to scale-up Pediatric ART across Swaziland and Malawi. She was fortunate to also live in Kenya and the UK before moving to the DC area. She currently lives in Kampala, Uganda with her family.
